#005 - Radio, live transmission

Last night I went to see the live recording of the new series of Charlie Brooker's radio show.
The standout guest was Mark Watson, a comedian I've been reluctant to warm to, probably due to his nervous demeanor. Charlie Brooker was his usual amusing self, though mostly when he was reading from his script. Some of the jokes really didn't work (causing tumbleweed moments) and will have to be cut, which makes me wonder if his 10 O'Clock Live scripts are tested first to save any such embarrassment. If you are interested in the great hair debate, he addressed his controversial new quiff as 'simply a man letting himself go'. It was the back of his head I was most worried about, it looked like his hairdresser had truly given up by the time they had got that far. Overall it was pretty enjoyable, listen out for it on Radio 4 in about 3 weeks.

Don't forget I have a single out this week. I'm off to Hoxton Underbelly now to soundcheck for the launch party. Really looking forward to trying out new material.
